Many of my friends were encouraging me to work on charcoal portraits instead of my pen portraits because they enjoyed how elegant they can be. This particular portrait is of my friend Haley who I chose to draw because she has a soft face and beautiful eyes. It is one of my favorite charcoal portraits because people tell me how amazing the eyes turned out. Haley has a curious expression only enhanced by her wide, doe-like eyes.
