Drawing Tom Hardy
I hadn’t personally known much about Tom Hardy until I watched the film in which he rose to critical acclaim, Mad Max: Fury Road. I first watched the film at a friend’s house and was entirely impressed by the movie. I enjoyed it so much, I watched it a second time within a week because of how good it was.
Tom Hardy played his role perfectly and I moved him to the top of my drawing list immediately after watching the movie. I chose to draw a charcoal portrait of a promo picture because the shot captured his persona very well.
As I have mentioned in other posts, I find it personally easier to draw male faces because they have more definition, blemishes, and shadows that work well with charcoal. My friends liked how well I drew his hair and the lines on his forehead.
